Obituary
Sylvia Dawn Slaviero, born on April 10, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, in Taylor, Michigan, at the age of 88.
Sylvia was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She grew up in the Del Ray area of Detroit and moved to Allen Park as a teenager. She made her home in Taylor with her beloved husband Joseph, where they raised their sons, Michael, Douglas, and Christopher. Her life was one marked by her dedication to her family and her role as a homemaker and caregiver. She found immense joy in the simplest of pleasures: curling up with a good book, word searches, piecing together puzzles, watching Game Show Network, Hallmark movies, EWTN and spending time with her beloved family, friends and grand doggie Kona.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Slaviero; her devoted parents, Steven and Helen King; her sister, Cynthia; and her brother, Steven, Sylvia will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by those who survive her. Her legacy lives on through her sons, Michael (Jacqueline), Douglas (Kimberly), and Christopher (Michelle); her grandchildren, Joshua (Ilse), Jonathan (Morrow), Ashley, Caitlin, Joseph and Nina; her great-grandchildren, Juliet and August along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Sylvia's warmth and kindness touched all who knew her, leaving behind a lifetime of memories that will be cherished forever.
